MRT3 starts turnouts fixes, limits ops between North Ave. and Shaw Blvd.

Metro Rail Transit Line 3 limits its operations between North Avenue and Shaw Boulevard Stations, as  it began fixing track turnouts at the Taft Avenue Station on Saturday.

Fixing and changing switches on tracks will be done on October 10 and 11, 2020 and is set to continue from the 31st until November 2.

According to the Department of Transportation, the fix work is part of the massive rehabilitation and maintenance being undertaken by Japan's Sumitomo-Mitsubishi Heavy Industries along the service line.

The MRT3 management advised passengers that partial operations will be implemented on the dates scheduled for the turnouts fixes. —LBG, GMA News
