Surge causes service interruption for 2,000 Maynilad customers

Some 2,000 customers of Maynilad Water Services Inc. in Quezon City experienced a service interruption on Sunday due to problems with the provider's pipeline.

According to a report on GMA Super Radyo DZBB, residents of Barangay Holy Spirit in Quezon City started to experience supply issues early Sunday morning.

The issues were said to have been caused by a possible pressure surge in the pipeline, which is expected to be fixed by Sunday evening.

Maynilad currently serves customers in the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon Manila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon, Valenzuela.

It also services certain areas in Cavite such as the cities of Bacoor, Cavite, and Imus; and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario. — DVM, GMA News
