Floods hit parts of QC

Heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon and tropical cyclone Nika caused flooding in several areas in Quezon City on Monday.

According to a “24 Oras” report, the rainfall caused flooding inside a mall.

A part of Timog Avenue and Scout Tobias was also rendered impassable to cars.

One SUV stalled in the middle of the street, while cars parked along the road were submerged.

Parts of Commonwealth Avenue also experienced almost zero visibility due to the heavy rains.

In Barangay Pinyahan, meanwhile, children were seen having fun swimming in the floodwaters despite the health and safety risks.
