Homeless on EDSA center island turned over to local authorities
Some informal settlers who have been living on the center island of EDSA were turned over to barangay officials to keep them away from road accidents.
According to Jun Veneracion’s “24 Oras” report on Thursday, the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) gathered the homeless people who had been taking shelter in the EDSA center island.
The informal settlers were given food, face shields, and masks.
Most of them had come from the provinces.
The HPG said it would coordinate with local authorities and other agencies to help the homeless avoid returning to the center island.—Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
