Truck ban on EDSA to resume Monday, Dec. 14 —MMDA

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Wednesday announced that the truck ban on EDSA will be reimplemented starting Monday, December 14.

In an interview on Dobol B sa News TV, MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialago said trucks will not be allowed in EDSA from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

“‘Yung mga truck naman po na bumabaybay sa EDSA, which is meron naman po, which is Magallanes to Roxas Boulevard and North Avenue to Balintawak, sundin po natin ‘yung truck ban natin,” Pialago said.

The spokesperson said the truck ban will also be implemented in C-5.

“Well, kasama na ho no lahat po ng policies na saklaw po nung truck ban natin, lalo na po sa mga major thoroughfares na hinahawakan po ng MMDA balik na po ‘yung truck ban,” she said.

According to Pialago, no advisory has been released for light trucks.
