2 U-turn slots in QC now open to motorists
Motorists can now use the U-turn slots in front of the Quezon City Academy and the one near Dario Bridge, the Quezon City government announced Friday.
The city government said only light vehicles could use the U-turn slot in front of QCA while only emergency and marked government vehicles can utilize the one in Dario Bridge.
"Ang QC Task Force on Traffic Management at Task Force Disiplina ang mamamahala sa u-turn slot para sa stop-and-go scheme ng mga lilikong sasakyan at dumadaan na EDSA carousel bus," the local government said.

A separate report on GMA News' Unang Balita by Darlene Cay said the two U-turn slots were opened after motorists had complained that their closure resulted in heavy traffic in the areas.
Citing data from Metropolitan Manila Development Authority spokesperson Celine Pialago, the report said more or less 30,000 motorists are using the U-turn slots on a daily basis.
To avoid traffic congestion, traffic enforces should be regularly deployed in the said areas, the report noted. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
