Valenzuela City imposes two-week liquor ban

Valenzuela City has implemented a city-wide liquor ban starting Tuesday, March 16 until Thursday, April 1 as part of efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to Glen Juego’s report on Super Radyo dzBB, under Ordinance 865, the sale, procurement, consumption, and delivery of liquor is prohibited in the city.

Violators will be fined P2,000 for the first offense, P3,000 for the second offense, and P5,000 for the third offense.

Meanwhile, establishments caught violating the ordinance will be fined P10,000 for the first offense, P20,000 for the second offense, and P30,000 for the third offense.

Their business permits will also be suspended for the first and second offenses and canceled on the third offense. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
