Armed men grab, shoot dead father and son in Malate

Armed men seized and killed a man and his son in Malate, Manila on Tuesday.

According to a report by Bernadette Reyes on “24 Oras” on Thursday, the victims were identified as Andrew Soriano and his son Melvin Soriano.

As seen on CCTV footage, the suspects stormed the residence of the Soriano family on the corner of Quirino Avenue and San Antonio Street past 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

The attackers, who were wearing masks and hoodies, dragged the victims outside their home and shot Andrew dead as he was clutching a woman who fell to the ground with him.

As the gunmen fled, the woman was able to get up and get away.

Melvin’s body was found later.

The Manila Philippine National Police Homicide Division and the barangay have yet to issue a statement on the incident.
