The Quezon City government, through the Task Force Disiplina, announced that the people should return to their homes as the food donation will be delivered to designated areas.
The organizers of the Community Pantry will implement a decentralized system with the original stall on No. 108 Maginhawa Street converted into a drop off area for donations that will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The donated items will then be brought to the barangays within the district of Dilliman from where most of the beneficiaries come from.
The objective of the change is the implementation of a more organized and efficient distribution of goods the various villages and other community pantries.
The distribution centers would also be set up in areas near the target beneficiaries, who do not have to walk to far from their residents. The set up would be beneficial to pregnant women and PWDs.
Health protocols can also be strictly implemented, the organizers said. -- BAP, GMA News
