Caloocan City vax program hits 150K; majority await 2nd dose
Over 150,000 residents of Caloocan City have been inoculated with vaccines against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), but majority of them have yet to receive their second dose.
Data from the local government's public information office indicate that 153,182 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccines, as reported on GMA Super Radyo DZBB on Sunday.
Out of the total, only 26% or 40,525 have received their second doses for unclear reasons.
Moving forward, the city will boost its vaccination program and expects to administer some 12,000 jabs on Monday, June 7, 2021.
The Philippines on Sunday reported 7,228 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the total tally to 1,269,478, as three laboratories failed to submit data on time. —LBG, GMA News
