A total of 71,755 violators have been accosted since the August 5th implementation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the National Capital Region, the Philippine National Police said Sunday.

Latest data from the PNP show that the daily average number of violators in the capital region is 7,973.

Also, the PNP said that the sum from the four provinces comprising the NCR Plus hit a total of 212,750 violators.

Daily average of violators in NCR Plus was 23,639.

The PNP said 4,098 non-authorized persons outside of residence were monitored in the NCR, averaging 455 daily, while 10,281 non-APOR were sanctioned in NCR Plus averaging 1,142 a day.

Throughout the country, a total of 351,152 violators were recorded in 1,255 quarantine checkpoints being operated by 11,051 police officers.

A total of 18,370 non-APOR violators were also recorded nationwide, averaging 2,041 a day.

Metro Manila is under ECQ from August 6 to 20 in light of the feared transmission of the Delta coronavirus variant.
