Mandaluyong to start vaccinating non-residents vs. COVID-19

Mandaluyong City will start vaccinating even those who are not residents of the city against COVID-19.

“We are opening our vaccination site to non-residents. We already reached our target eligible population of 133% for the first dose and 75% of second dose,” Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos told GMA News.

According to the city government, those interested should register first on MANDAVAX (www.mandaluyong.gov.ph/vaccine/), after which they should wait a call or text message from MANDAVAX Call Center informing them of their vaccination schedule.

"Huwag kalimutang magdala ng government or valid IDs [Don't forget to bring government or any valid IDs]," the city government said.

The vaccination, it added, will be strictly by appointment, meaning no walk-ins will be allowed.

To weed out those wanting to get booster shots, Abalos said, “We are asking for a government-issued ID and they have to sign the declaration of statement/waiver which is attached to their vaccination form.” —with Tina Panganiban Perez/KBK, GMA News
