(To our citizens, we continue to ask for your understanding and cooperation so we can stop the spread and the increase in the number of those infected with the disease)
A compound in Antipolo was placed under a two-week lockdown starting Wednesday after a confirmed COVID-19 patient who was placed in isolation held a double celebration with his family.
Antipolo Mayor Andrea "Andeng" Ynares said the celebration was held at their home in Oliveros St., Barangay Cupang and was attended by 19 guests.
Ynares said six individuals from three different families are currently experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, and colds.
A total of 15 households and 73 residents within the compound are affected.
(We are making arrangements for the food packs that will be distributed to those affected by the lockdown.)
A total of 21 individuals have undergone RT-PCR tests.
(As much as possible, let us avoid mass gatherings and celebrations because these are the primary means that COVID-19 is spreading and may have to be placed under lockdown.)
Spread the love, not the virus,” she added.
(Just be patient for a while longer. If we have friends who will celebrate their birthday, the best gift would be to keep them safe. Spread the love, not the virus.)
