Manila extends payment of business permit renewal deadline to March 31, 2022

The Manila government extended the deadline for payment on renewal of business permits to March 31, 2022 to give ample time for businesses in the city to process their transactions amid the COVID-19 surge.

In a statement, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno  signed Resolution 289, which indicated that the local government allows extension of the deadline for business payment to March 31 from January 20.

Deadline of payment is now until March 31. Waived na rin po ang anumang interest, penalties, at surcharges. (Interest, penalties and surcharges are waived)," he said.

Moreno added that this will prevent overcrowding in payment centers that could lead to superspreader events.

To date,  Manila has 95,557 total confirmed cases with 92,012 recoveries and 1,785 deaths. — Consuelo Marquez/BM, GMA News
