Maynilad announces up to 12-hour service interruptions due to high demand


Select customers of Maynilad Water Services Inc. can expect up to 12-hour service interruptions,as the concessionaire said operations were affected by the high demand at the Bagbag Reservoir.

In an advisory, Maynilad said low pressure to no water supply could be expected from 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 6, 2022 in the cities of Caloocan, Makati, Malabon, and Quezon.

Service interruptions in Parañaque City started at 1 p.m., and could last until 1 a.m. on Monday, February 7, 2022.

Below is the list of the affected areas:

Caloocan City
Barangays 6, 8, 10 to 12, 99, 101, 102, 105, 159 to 163, and Balingasa.

Makati City
Barangay Magallanes

Malabon City
Barangays 161, Dampalit, and Potrero

Quezon City
Barangays 163, 164, A. Samson, Baesa, Bahay Toro, Balong Bato, Bungad, Del Monte, Maharlika, N.S. Amoranto, Paltok, Saint Peter, Sangandaan, Sauyo, Talipapa, Tandang Sora, Unang Sigar, and Veteran’s Village.

Parañaque City
Barangays BF Homes, BF International/CAA, and San Isidro.

Maynilad currently serves customers in the west zone, which covers the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon Manila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon, Valenzuela. It also services certain areas in Cavite such as the cities of Bacoor, Cavite, and Imus; and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario. — DVM, GMA News
