'Poblacion Girl' Gwyneth Chua attends prelim probe, submits counter-affidavit

Gwyneth Chua, the returning Filipino who allegedly skipped mandatory quarantine when she arrived in the country in late December, appeared before prosecutors on Monday and submitted her counter-affidavit, Unang Balita reported on Tuesday.

Accompanied by her lawyer, Chua went to the Makati City Prosecutor's Office for the preliminary investigation in connection with the complaint filed against her for health protocol violation.

Chua is accused of violating health protocols when she left the hotel where she was supposed to be undergoing quarantine to meet with friends and family in Barangay Poblacion in Makati City.

Days after skipping quarantine, Chua and some of her close contacts tested positive for COVID-19. —KBK, GMA News
