Two policemen were nabbed for their involvement in warehouse robberies in Quezon City, according to Marisol Abdurahman’s “24 Oras” report on Wednesday.

Authorities from the Quezon City Police District, R2 National Capital Region Police Office, and Nueva Ecija Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested the suspects in Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

The suspects were identified as Police Corporals Celso Caliboso and Paul John Hipolito, along with another suspect Gregorio Rivera. They reportedly robbed warehouses in Quezon City.

“Mayroon silang kaibigang negosyante na ka-deal nila tapos kausap din nila yung Chinese kaya nagkaroon sila ng information na eto nga pwedeng pagnakawan itong warehouse ng Chinese. Sa report lumalabas kasama sila,” Brigadier General Remus Medina said.

(They had a deal and communicated with a businessman and then they also talked to the Chinese so they had information on the warehouse they robbed. In the report it appears that they were suspects.)

Based on the CCTV footage, the suspects were caught tying up the victims, and taking gadgets and money.

Meanwhile, another suspect identified as Daniel Tuazon was also arrested in a separate follow-up operation in Bulacan. The group’s vehicle was also found.

“Passbooks ng mga Chinese, na nagpapatunay na doon talaga nila nakuha yung mga items galing doon sa warehouse,” Medina said.
