DFA suspends operations in Pasay City TOPS for Marcos' inauguration
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has announced that consular operations at its Temporary Off-Site Passport Services (TOPS) in Pasay City will be suspended on Thursday in light of the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
In an advisory, the DFA said TOPS SM Mall of Asia and TOPS Newport Mall will be temporarily closed following the declaration of a special non-working holiday by the local government unit.
Also, some roads would be closed and protest rallies are expected during the oath-taking of Marcos at the National Museum.
The affected passport and apostille or authentication applicants with confirmed appointments will be accommodated at the DFA consular office in Aseana, Parañaque City.
Others will receive an email from DFA-OCA’s Passport Division informing them of their new appointment date.
The operations of the affected TOPS will resume on Friday, July 1, 2022. -- BAP, GMA News
