P600K worth of shabu seized in Las Piñas, Quezon City drug ops
Authorities have seized a total of P600,000 worth of shabu in separate buy bust operations in Las Piñas and Quezon City.
Based on the report disclosed by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), operatives of the Las Piñas Police conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pulang Lupa Uno Tuesday, July 12.
Police arrested five suspects confiscated 53.3 grams of suspected shabu with a market value of P362,000.
On the same day the operatives of Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Quezon City Police District conducted separate buy-bust operations in Barangays Pasong Tamo and Katipunan, Quezon City.
They arrested three suspects and recovered more or less 38 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated amount of P258,400.
“Our war against illegal drugs is far from over but with the diligence of our operatives, we are gaining grounds on this undertaking,” Police Major General Felipe Natividad said in a statement.
“More and more people involved in illegal drugs are being apprehended. With that, I commend our men for a job well done,” he added.
Arrested suspects were turned over to SDEU Office for proper documentation and preparation for filing of complaint for violation of Republic Act No. 9165. —NB, GMA News
