Vhong Navarro transferred to Taguig City Jail, says lawyer

Actor and television host Vhong Navarro was transferred from the National Bureau of Investigation to the Taguig City Jail on Monday.

This was confirmed by Atty. Maggie Garduque of Navarro’s legal team.

“We confirm the transfer of Vhong today from NBI to BJMP,” Garduque told GMA News Online.

“This is in compliance with the order of the court dated November 7, 2022,” she added.

The NBI has said Navarro would undergo a mandatory medical examination, a RT-PCR test, in compliance with health protocols.

In September, Taguig prosecutors filed a case against Navarro over the alleged rape of model-stylist Deniece Cornejo through “force, threat, and intimidation” in January 2014.

Navarro has denied the allegations against him. —NB, GMA Integrated News
