QC teachers send condolences to family of student killed in school due to stabbing
The Quezon City Public School Teachers Association (QCPSTA) has extended its condolences to the family of the 13-year-old student who passed away after he was stabbed by his fellow minor student inside the Culiat High School in Quezon City.
"Ipinapaabot ng mga guro sa QC ang taos pusong pakikiramay sa pamilya ng estudyante ng Culiat High School. Nalulungkot ang mga guro sa insidenteng ito na kinasangkutan ng dalawa naming estudyante," the QCPSTA said in a statement.

The QCPSTA said it joins all stakeholders inside the institution to ensure a safe school and environment for the students, teachers and staff.
It urged the Schools Division Office- Quezon City and agencies to review the school security protocols so that the incident will not happen again, and called for an appropriate intervention to students involved, teachers and staff to help them process the incident.)
"Kaisa ang QCPSTA ng lahat ng stakeholders upang masiguro na ang kabataan ay mabigyan ng edukasyon magtuturo sa kanilang makipag-kapwa, maging mabuting mamamayan sa kani-kanilang komunidad at bayan," it said.

The incident happened on Friday, where the victim was stabbed by a 15-year-old, who is also his fellow Grade 7 student.
The 15-year-old looked for the victim in their classroom at around 5:45 a.m. He pulled out the knife he was carrying and stabbed the victim on his chest.
The victim fell down and lost consciousness. He was dead on arrival at the hospital.
Based on the initial investigation, the student was angry at the victim due to “jealousy.”
The Department of Education-National Capital Region said it is "deeply saddened and disturbed" over the stabbing incident, as it provided assistance to the family of the victim. —Jamil Santos/KG, GMA Integrated News
