Pets can now ride on the Pasig River Ferry

Good news for animal lovers! Pets are now allowed on the Pasig River Ferry.

On Wednesday, "24 Oras" reported that according to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), any type of pet is allowed on the ferry, as long as their pet will not harm any ferry passengers and the pet is properly placed in a cage.

They can ride from any of these 13 ferry stations: Pinagbuhatan, Kalawaan, San Joaquin, Maybunga, Guadalupe, Hulo, Valenzuela, Lambingan, Sta. Ana, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Quinta, Lawton, and Escolta.

Aside from the Pasig River Ferry, pets were also allowed to ride the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT 2) starting February 1, 2023.

The LRT2 operates in 13 stations from Recto Avenue in Manila to Antipolo City.

The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 has allowed pets in its stations since 2021.
