Cynthia Villar on viral video: We’re not doing anything bad

Senator Cynthia Villar on Thursday said she did not do “anything bad” when she confronted a group of security guards about steel barricades on a road in Las Piñas City.

According to a report on “24 Oras”, Villar was caught on camera angrily telling the guards to remove the barriers.

It was not clear when the incident occurred but the video has been viewed millions of times in various social media platforms.

“Yung aking lugar na ‘yun, puno ‘yung ng squatter. Nilinis ko tapos tinayuan ko ng composting facility at vermicomposting facility,” Villar said.

(That place used to be filled with illegal settlers. I cleaned that and created a composting and vermicomposting facility.)

“'Di ko malaman bakit nila sinasarhan. That’s for the people. We are not doing anything bad. Wala sa akin ‘yun,” she added.

(I don't understand why they closed it off. That’s for the people. We are not doing anything bad. I don't mind it.)
