PNR suspends Alabang-Calamba route starting July 2

The temporary suspension of the Philippine National Railways (PNR) Alabang to Calamba route officially started on July 2, according to a report on BaliTanghali on Monday.

The PNR management implemented the five-year suspension on the train line to make way for the construction of the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project.

The NSCR project is an elevated train system which spans 163 kilometers.  It is composed of a 40-kilometer line from Tutuban, Manila to Malolos, Bulacan, and its extensions —Malolos to Clark, Pampanga, and Manila to Calamba, Laguna.—Sundy Locus/LDF, GMA Integrated News
