Professor nabbed for allegedly raping student inside university
A part time teacher was arrested for allegedly raping his minor student inside a university in Mandaluyong City, according to a "24 Oras" report by Emil Sumangil.
The suspect was nabbed in a police operation in his home in Baesa, Quezon City on an arrest warrant issued by the court.
He is facing two counts of rape for allegedly abusing his student, who is a minor.
"Iniligaw tayo ng ibang barangay officials, dahil tagaroon siya, binibigyan tayo ng ibat ibang impormasyon, na accordingly wala na siya roon," Police Major Raul Salle, chief of the Eastern Police District-District Special Operations Unit, said.
The police officer said the alleged crime took place inside the school.
"Sa loob mismo ng eskwelahan, pag humiwalay na yung ibang estudyante, after na sila’y umalis na, saka niya isinagawa ito," Salle said.
GMA Integrated News is still trying to get the side of the suspect, who is currently detained inside the Mandaluyong Police Station.
The police said it has gotten in touch with the family of the victim.
"Ang advice ng doktor, wag muna ipakausap ito," Salle said.
The police official added they are also coordinating with the administration of the university on the matter.
"Tayong mga teacher, 'wag natin samantalahin ang ating kapangyarihan sa inyong mga estudyante, na isagawa yung ganyang mga bagay," Salles said.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
