Marikina officials raise first alarm as river level rises


The first alarm was raised as the water level at the Marikina River continues to rise following the heavy downpour brought about by Typhoon Egay, GMA News' James Agustin reported.

The water level, as of 5:39 a.m., has reached 15 meters the Marikina Rescue 161 announced.

The first alarm means that residents are encouraged to start preparing for evacuation. — BAP/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
