Relatives, colleagues attend funeral mass for Mike Enriquez


Family members and workmates of Mike Enriquez on Sunday morning attended the funeral mass for the late veteran broadcast journalist before he was to be laid to rest.

Enriquez’ funeral mass was held at the Christ the King Parish Church in Greenmeadows, Quezon City.

Among those present were GMA Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Felipe Yalong, GMA First Vice President for Radio Operations Group Glenn Allona, 24 Oras host Vicky Morales, and Super Radyo dzBB anchors Melo del Prado and Joel Reyes-Zobel.

Enriquez’ widow Lizabeth "Baby" Yumping and other relatives were also there.

He will be buried at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City within the day.

The Kapuso news anchor passed away last Tuesday, August 29, at the age of 71.

Enriquez was one of the anchors of GMA's flagship newscast "24 Oras" and hosted the long-running GMA Public Affairs program "Imbestigador." —Giselle Ombay/KG, GMA Integrated News
