Maynilad announces up to 5-hour service interruption in Caloocan


Select customers of Maynilad Water Services Inc. in Caloocan City are set to experience up to five hours of service interruptions starting Wednesday, April 3, as the concessionaire is set to undertake a scheduled maintenance activity in the area.

In an advisory, Maynilad said it will have an interconnection activity which involves the installation of tee fitting needed for the tapping of new primary or secondary lines along P. Dela Cruz in Barangay 166 from 11 p.m. on April 3 to 4 a.m. on April 4.

“This activity is being done as part of the company’s continuous effort to improve water services in the West Zone,” the advisory read.

“Affected customers are encouraged to store enough water for the duration of the water service interruption. Maynilad has water tankers standby, ready to deliver water to affected areas as needed,” it added.

Maynilad also advised customers to let the water flow out for a few seconds until the water clears upon resumption of the water service.

On the other hand, Brgys.Anabu I-D, I-F, II-A to II-D in Imus, Cavite will experience water service interruption from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. while Brgys. Alapan I-C, Anabu I-A to I-F, Bayan Luma I to IX, Bucandala I to V, Carsadang Bago I to II, Malagasang I-A to I-D, Malagasang I-G, Medicion I-B, Poblacion III-B, Poblacion IV-B, Poblacion IV-D, and Tanzang Luma VI will have to water from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Maynilad currently serves customers in the west zone, which covers the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon Manila, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Quezon, Valenzuela. It also services certain areas in Cavite such as the cities of Bacoor, Cavite, and Imus; and the towns of Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario.—Jon Viktor Cabuenas/AOL, GMA Integrated News
