DPWH starts road repair, reblocking in parts of Roxas Boulevard
Motorists were advised to use service roads and other lanes as alternate routes as the Department of Public Works and Highways start its road reblocking and repairs in parts of Roxas Boulevard.
The DPWH South Manila District Engineering Office said starting April 5 to April 30, it will be conducting concreting, reblocking, asphalt overlay, and application of thermoplastic pavements along south and northbound bridge approach of Roxas Boulevard Flyover.
It will also be conducting road repairs along northbound portions of Roxas Boulevard starting on April 4. It expects the repair works to be completed after 150 calendar days.
The repair works on damaged paved roads along Roxas Boulevard will cover areas of Pasay City, after Lourdes Street, before Gardens By the Bay Residences; and along Manila City, from Remedios Street to Sands Residences.
The DPWH said while the repairs of both the projects continue during the night, closed lanes will be opened, and will remain passable during daytime to facilitate smooth traffic flow.
It added repairs will also be done one lane at a time to lessen traffic congestion.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
