3 Taguig centenarians receive P100,000 cash gift

Three centenarians from three barangays in Taguig City have received their P100,000 cash gift from Mayor Lani Cayetano.

Cayetano personally handed the checks to Lola Patria Entrada, 102 years old, from West Rembo; Lola Carmen Borja, 102, from Barangay Ususan; and Lola Severa Decasa (100) from Barangay Rizal.

The centenarians will receive P100,000 each year for the rest of their lives.

The city government said Friday that aside from the P100,000 birthday cash gift, the senior citizens also received yearly birthday cash gifts ranging from P3,000 to P10,000 depending on their age bracket.

Meanwhile, the local government also established the Taguig Center for the Elderly, the first-ever wellness hub for senior citizens in the country.
