LRT-2 in partial ops due to power supply issue

Operations of the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) will run only from Recto to Araneta Center-Cubao stations and back due to an electricity cable problem, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) said Friday morning.

“Pansamantalang nagpapatupad ng provisionary service ang LRT-2 dahil sa nasirang catenary wire. Ang biyahe ng tren ay mula Recto station hanggang Araneta Center- Cubao station at pabalik,” the LRTA said in an advisory around 6 a.m.

(LRT-2 is temporarily implementing provisional service due to the damaged catenary wire. Train trips are from Recto Station to Araneta Center-Cubao Station and back.)

In an update around 9 a.m., the LRTA said LRT-2 has returned to its normal operations.
