Source of threats, extortion turns out to be victim's niece

The Philippine National Police - Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) arrested a woman during an entrapment operation in Marikina for alleged extortion.

In Jun Veneracion’s Thursday report on “24 Oras,” the complaint stemmed from a report of a businesswoman who said she received death threats.

During the entrapment operation, the victim found that the suspect was her niece.

The suspect did not give any comments about the incident.

She will be facing complaints for grave coercion, grave threat, and robbery with intimidation. –Celine Serquina/NB, GMA Integrated News
