Popemobile used by Pope Francis in 2015 visit on display in Makati church

The vehicle used by the late Pope Francis is on display at the Sanctuario de San Antonio parish grounds starting Friday, April 25, 2025.

Commonly called, "Popemobile" but also called the "Pope Jeep" as it resembles the public used jeepney that plies the streets of Manila, may be viewed until Sunday May 4, 2025 at 6 p.m.

"During his 2015 visit to Manila, Pope Francis utilized a customized jeepney as his POPEMOBILE, a vehicle designed to reflect the spirit of Filipino ingenuity and the pope's desire for connection with the people. This white, open-air jeepney, locally crafted, served as a symbolic representation of his humility and solidarity with the Filipino masses," the parish said in a statement.

Pope Francis celebrated Mass at the Manila Cathedral as well as in the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas.

The Pontiff also held an outdoor Mass in Tacloban City despite strong rains and powerful winds brought about by an approaching storm. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
