Unopposed John Rey Tiangco wins another term as Navotas mayor
Reelectionist candidate John Rey Tiangco's win for another term as mayor of Navotas City came handily after he ran unopposed in the 2025 elections.
Tiangco's brother, Toby, will also sit anew as representative of the city's lone district after beating a challenger.
On Monday night, the Tiangco's were officially proclaimed winners in the Navotas local race, along with Tito Sanchez who also ran unopposed.
John Rey got a total of 116,582 votes, while Sanchez gathered 107,587 votes.
Toby won with 113,099 as against the 5,267 votes of Tony Ibanez. He served as campaign manager of the Alyansa para sa Pagbabago, the administration's senatorial slate.
John Rey first won as city mayor in 2010 and served three terms until 2019. He ran and won a district representative seat in 2019.
Toby, who was a congressman from 2010-2019, ran for mayor in the 2019 polls. After serving for one term, he returned to Congress in 2022. —LDF, GMA Integrated News
