Joy Belmonte proclaimed Quezon City mayor
Joy Belmonte will continue as mayor of Quezon City for her third and final term after she was proclaimed winner in the May 2025 midterm elections on Tuesday.
Based on the partial and unofficial results from the Comelec Media Survey as of 10:54 a.m., Belmonte obtained 800,323 votes.
Her rivals Diosdado Velasco earned 16,388 votes; Jonathan Cabalo had 10,663; Rolando Jota had 6,625; while Noli Navat had 3,311.
Meanwhile, Gian Sotto was also proclaimed as vice mayor for his third and final term after receiving 729,079 votes.
His rivals Dante Villarta gathered 20,932 votes; Inventor Ingles had 15,275; while June Faelangco had 14,366. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
