‘Missing’ actress surfaces, cites need to focus on self 

Actress Karen Lopez finally stepped out on Wednesday after she reportedly went missing. 

In a post on Facebook, the sexy actress apologized for her sudden disappearance. 

“Pasensya na talaga kung bigla akong nawala nitong mga nakaraang araw. Kailangan ko lang munang magpahinga at mag-focus sa sarili ko,” she said in the post. 

(I'm really sorry if I've been missing for the past few days. I just need to rest and focus on myself.) 

“Dumaan ako sa mga bagay na medyo mabigat mentally and emotionally, at napagtanto kong kailangan unahin ang well-being ko - even if that meant stepping back for a while.” 

(I went through some pretty tough times mentally and emotionally, and I realized that I needed to prioritize my well-being - even if that meant stepping back for a while. 

Lopez also had a live video on Facebook but it was also deleted eventually.) 

Her most recent post on Facebook states: “Just to clarify things out.” 

Lopez made the statement minutes after the Quezon City Police District said it had yet to receive a formal complaint from her family regarding her alleged disappearance. 

“Sa kasalukuyan, wala pa pong pormal na ulat o reklamo na naihain sa alinmang himpilan ng pulisya ng QCPD mula sa pamilya o kaanak ng nasabing indibidwal. Kaya’t hinihikayat po namin ang sinumang may direktang kaalaman o koneksyon sa nasabing aktres na makipag-ugnayan sa aming tanggapan,” the police said in a statement. “Ang inyong pakikiisa ay mahalaga upang mapabilis ang imbestigasyon at matulungan namin pamilya sa pagtunton sa naturang aktres.” 

(Currently, no formal report or complaint has been filed with any QCPD police station from the family or relatives of the said individual. Therefore, we encourage anyone with direct knowledge or connection to the said actress to contact our office. Your cooperation is important to expedite the investigation and help the family in tracing the said actress.) 

The QCPD also said that its  Station 10 has already launched an investigation and has already reached out to the actress’ personal assistant. They also looked into the CCTV footage from the area where she was last seen. 

“Ang QCPD ay naninindigan sa kahalagahan ng bawat buhay at kaligtasan ng publiko. Nananatiling bukas ang tanggapan ng QCPD upang magbigay ng police assistance kung kinakailangan,” it added.—LDF, GMA Integrated News
