MRT-3 trips disrupted by burning wire; normal ops have since resumed
Metro Rail Transit-Line 3 (MRT-3) trips were disrupted on Tuesday morning after a burning wire was reported. Operations have however resumed normally in less than an hour.
The burning wire was spotted at 7:36 a.m. at a post between the Cubao and Santolan stations southbound, according to an advisory posted on social media.
"As a safety precaution, all trains were instructed to stop at their nearest station platforms," the MRT-3 said.
A maintenance team proceeded to the site to assess the situation and do the necessary measures.
The MRT-3 management asked the public for understanding as the train operations were disrupted.
Normal operations thereafter resumed at 8:13 a.m., it said.
