1 house heavily damaged, 5 others affected after wall collapses in Navotas
A house was heavily damaged while five others were affected after a three-meter wall in Barangay San Jose, Navotas City collapsed as a result of waters from the high tide.
According to Carlo Mateo’s Sunday report on Super Radyo dzBB, a mother and her children were swept by the tide after the wall collapsed and were only saved after they held to a tree branch and a rock.

Based on the report of the local Department of Social Welfare and Development, the high tide level rose to two meters, which caused flooding in some areas.
About 43 families or 180 individuals were evacuated.
Earlier today, authorities conducted preemptive evacuation as high tide reached waist level.
Sandbagging is being conducted to cover the breach caused by the collapsed wall, which is located inside a property owned by a shipyard. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
