Fire hits warehouse in Pasig City

A fire broke out at a warehouse in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City on Friday night.

The fire started at the warehouse located on Sandoval Avenue past 7 p.m., according to a report by Christian Maño on Super Radyo dzBB on Saturday morning.

As of 5 a.m. Saturday, the fire was still at third alarm and black smoke could be seen in the affected area.

The Pasig Public Information Office issued a traffic advisory at 4 a.m. that Sandoval Avenue from N. Cruz Street to Urbano Velasco Avenue was not passable to any vehicle due to the firefighting operations in the area. Motorists were advised to take alternate routes.

The Bureau of Fire Protection was able to put the fire under control at 6:38 a.m., 11 hours after it started. —KG, GMA Integrated News
