'Street gangs' tagged as persona non grata in Valenzuela

The Valenzuela City government on Wednesday declared 13 street gangs as persona non grata after their groups were allegedly involved in curfew violations, illegal drugs, fights, and hazing.

In its Resolution No. 3467 Series of 2025, the city government tagged as persona non grata the following street gangs:

• True Brown Style (TBS)
• Little Brown Style (LBS)
• Temple St. (TST)
• Bagong Bario (BB) Hood
• North Valenzuela Clique - Insane Saitan Disciple (NVC ISD) Hood
• PMC Hood
• Nortenos Loccos
• Deathrow Hood Valenzuela Locos
• Varrio Latino
• TST - Rosario Hood
• TBS - Disiplina Village Lingunan
• Piru Hood - Disiplina Village Lingunan
• Original Trouble Maker Gang (OTM)

Mayor Wes Gatchalian in a press conference called out the negative influence of these street gangs on the youth in the city.

“Ako po ay isang pamilyadong tao at hindi ko masikmura na ginagawa ang ‘30-second massacre’ sa aking anak. Pinag-aral natin,” Gatchalian said.

(I am a family man and I cannot bear to see my child being subjected to the ‘30-second massacre’. We are sending them to schools.)

“Pero imbes na mag-aral sasali pa sa street gangs. Pineperahan na sila. Sinasaktan na sila. Kapalit ano? Pagdating naman na nahuli sila ng pulis. Iyakan,” he added.

(But instead of studying, they will join street gangs. They are being extorted. They are being hurt. For what? When the police catch them, they just cry.)

Gatchalian is also planning to file complaints against the leaders of the street gangs who were involved in illegal activities. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
