Pasig RTC judges received online threats — SC

The Supreme Court has confirmed that the judges of the Pasig Regional Trial Court were targets of online threats sent via email on Wednesday morning.

SC assured that security measures have been put in place to protect the judges and other personnel of the Pasig RTC.

“The Court is taking this matter seriously and is closely monitoring the situation. An investigation is underway, in coordination with law enforcement authorities,” the high court said in a statement.

“Appropriate security measures have also been put in place to ensure the safety and protection of the judges, court personnel, court users, and the general public.”

Further, the SC said the judges “will continue to carry out their duties with integrity and calm resolve, guided by fairness and the rule of law.”

“We urge the public and all concerned stakeholders to remain vigilant and continue supporting the judicial process with trust and respect,” the statement further read. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/BAP, GMA Integrated News
