First alarm raised after Marikina River water level hit 15 meters
By GMA Integrated News
Local authorities late Saturday evening raised the first alarm after the water level in the Marikina River reached 15 meters amid heavy rains caused by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
The Marikina City Rescue 161 issued the first alarm at 11:25 p.m.

The first alarm means residents should prepare for possible evacuation.
Preemptive evacuation will be implemented when the water level hits 16 meters, which triggers the second alarm. The water level reaching 18 meters triggers the third alarm, which means mandatory evacuation.
Local authorities lifted the first alarm at 1:50 a.m. Sunday when the water level went down to 14.9 meters.
As of 6:30 a.m., the water level was at 14.1 meters.
