15-year-old hits head on floor after classmate pulls her hair
A 15-year-old female student in Muntinlupa City hit her head on the floor after her classmate pulled her hair.
According to JP Soriano’s report in “24 Oras” on Friday, the victim’s mother said that her daughter remains in the hospital after experiencing dizziness and vomiting after the incident happened last Monday.
“Malakas po, yung ulo yung unang tumama sa sahig and the after na po nun, doon na nag-start na may nakapag-video, doon po nagsimula yung video na nandoon na siya sahig kaya di siya makabangon. Kasi sa lakas ng bagsak ng ulo niya, hilong-hilo daw po siya, hindi niya alam kung paano siya tatayo,” the mother lamented.
(It was forceful. Her head hit the floor first. After that, someone started recording, and that's where the video begins—with her already on the floor, unable to get up. Because of how hard her head hit, she was very dizzy and didn't know how to stand up.)
“Doon na po makikita sa video na yung kaklasmeyt, siya yung hinahawakan and itong si offender, patuloy pang nananakit,” she added.
(It can be seen in the video that her classmates were helping her to get up, but the offender is still hurting her.)
Her daughter also told her that before the classmate got physical, she had already threatened her.
“Nakatayo lang daw siya. Lumapit itong si offender and then bigla siyang sinuntok dito banda,” she said, pointing to the right cheek.
(She was just standing when the offender went to her and hit her.)
When her daughter first reported to her that someone had hurt her, she thought it was just a normal fight between teenagers. But it wasn't until she saw the video that she realized what was happening to her daughter in school.
Meanwhile, the school principal and the Department of Education-Muntinlupa City said that the victim was immediately given first aid at the school’s clinic.
“Upon learning of the incident, the school, together with the Division Learners’ Rights and Protection Committee, immediately enforced urgent interventions,” said DepEd Muntinlupa.
“While the investigation is still ongoing, measures are in place to ensure the best interests of all the students involved,” it added.
“Our utmost priority is the learners’ safety, protection, and well-being, along with the continuity of their learning.”
The students involved in the incident are now undergoing psychosocial intervention, the report added. –Vince Angelo Ferreras/NB, GMA Integrated News
