Customer stabs barber over haircut he didn't like
A 27-year-old man stabbed a barber in Quezon City because he didn't like his haircut.
According to James Agustin’s report in “24 Oras” on Friday, the victim said that it was his first time to cut the hair of the irate customer.
Bumaba siya ng upuan at nagbayad,” he said.
(When I gave him a fade, he told me as I was cutting, ‘Don't cut the top short.’ I didn't, but when he looked in the mirror, he made a gesture and said, ‘Just cut it short, my bangs look bad.’ So I cut it shorter. He then got off the chair and paid.)
But after more than 30 minutes, the suspect went back to the barbershop and stabbed the victim.
The incident was reported to the police while the victim’s wife sought help from the Philippine National Police’s 911 hotline.
In a follow-up operation, the 27-year-old suspect was arrested at his residence. Authorities also found the kitchen knife he used in the crime, the report added.
The suspect admitted that he committed the crime because he didn't like his haircut.
(Even though I only asked for a faded cut at the back, and specifically told him not to touch the top, he still cut it shorter against my wishes.)
(I am also asking for forgiveness for my mistake. I didn't mean to do it.)
The victim and his wife will pursue charges for attempted murder against the suspect.
