MMDA suspends number coding scheme on Aug. 21

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Monday announced that the implementation of the expanded number coding scheme on Thursday, August 21 has been suspended after it was declared a special non-working holiday.

“Suspendido ang pagpapatupad ng expanded number coding scheme sa Huwebes, Agosto 21, isang special non-working holiday para sa paggunita ng Ninoy Aquino Day,” the advisory read.

(The implementation of the expanded number coding scheme is suspended on Thursday, August 21, a special non-working holiday for the commemoration of Ninoy Aquino Day.)

“Awtomatikong sinususpinde ang number coding tuwing official at special non-working holidays,” it added. 

(Number coding is automatically suspended during official and special non-working holidays.)

Meanwhile, the Malacañang earlier declared Monday, August 25 as a regular holiday in commemoration of the National Heroes Day. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/BAP, GMA Integrated News
