Body of security guard found floating in La Mesa Dam

The body of a security guard who went missing while he was on duty early morning on Sunday has been found floating in the La Mesa Dam in Quezon City.

The 56-year-old victim, said to be a resident of Tondo, Manila, was reported missing by his colleague who noticed he was not in his formation at 2:30 a.m. His body was found floating in the dam behind the guesthouse.

The Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management responded to the scene, and were the ones who retrieved the body, according to a report by Sam Nielsen on GMA Super Radyo DZBB on Sunday evening.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team of the Quezon City Police District Forensic Unit are still looking into the matter, and will be conducting an autopsy to determine if foul play was involved.
