A passenger bus caused collisions involving 10 other vehicles on Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City on Thursday morning, injuring at least 10 individuals, according to the city police.

In a statement, the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said that at around 6:55 a.m., a bus rammed into a sedan, triggering a "chain-reaction crash" involving jeepneys, public utility jeeps, and other vehicles in the area.

The QCPD said in a separate message to reporters that the number of injured people was 10.

"Several unidentified passengers sustained physical injuries and were rushed to Rosario Maclang Bautista General Hospital for treatment," the QCPD said.

Among the damaged vehicles were a sedan, a UV Express van, a modern jeepney, a traditional jeepney, and six unattended parked motorcycles.

"All vehicles involved suffered varying degrees of damage, with the total cost still under assessment," the police said.

The tent structure of the Bureau of Animal Industry's inspection site and the perimeter fence of the MRT-7 Doña Carmen Station construction site were also damaged.

The bus driver, identified as 36-year-old "Ronaldo," will face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple damage to property and multiple physical injuries, the police said.
