1 of 2 suspects in Pasay rape-robbery surrenders to cops
One of the two men who allegedly robbed an apartment in Pasay City surrendered to authorities, while his co-accused, who allegedly raped two victims, remains at large.
According to Nico Waje’s Monday report on “Saksi,” the suspect surrendered to the police after being persuaded by his wife.
He is one of the two suspects who robbed an apartment housing 13 massage therapists in Pasay on Aug 29.
Police said the suspect in their custody is the person caught on CCTV riding on the back of a motorcycle and is the second person to enter the compound.
The suspects were involved in other crimes in Pasay, police said.
Authorities traced the suspect's location to Legazpi City, Albay.
The victims confirmed his identity as his face was uncovered when he entered the apartment.
However, the suspect denied the allegations, saying that he was being accused because he was previously involved in a case with the other suspect.
He claimed he was at home when the crime occurred and that he went to Albay to join a billiard tournament.
Meanwhile, police are still searching for the other suspect.
Cops said he was in a previous relationship with one of the massage therapists, who was not in the apartment during the robbery.
