Couple, business partner missing for past 2 months
The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) is searching for a married couple and their business partner who have been missing for the last two months after they left a condominium building in Taguig City for a transaction.
According to Marisol Abdurahman’s Wednesday report on “Saksi,” Henry Angelo Pantollana, his wife, Margie Pantollana, were seen leaving their condominium in Taguig City along with their business partner, Richard Cadiz.
A relative of the couple said they could no longer contact the victims around 12 p.m., who were about to have a business transaction in Pasig City.
The family also did not receive any calls or messages for ransom.
Around 4 p.m., someone video-called the victims’ youngest child using the woman’s mobile phone, but the child said he did not hear or see anything during the call.
The victims’ family reached out to PAOCC after they said there was no progress with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
PAOCC executive director Underseretary Gilbert Cruz described the incident as a “business deal that went wrong.”
The victims had an undetermined amount of money and a watch worth P20 million when they went missing, which, Cruz said, the suspects might have taken interest in.
Based on PAOCC’s backtracking, the victims’ vehicle was seen in Cavite on July 6 with a white van seemingly tailing it.
PAOCC said the victims had multiple ATM transactions days after the incident.
The victims' family is offering P300,000 to those who have any information about their disappearance.
They hope that the victims would return to them alive.
PAOCC said it will form a special task force with other law enforcement agencies to focus on searching for the missing persons.
Meanwhile, the CIDG said it conducted an investigation after the family reported the incident.
It also issued a subpoena to some resource persons related to the incident. — Mariel Celine Serquiña /RF, GMA Integrated News
