Fire hits 12 houses in Quezon City


A fire broke out and gutted a dozen houses at a residential area in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa in Quezon City on Monday night.

According to a report by Rod Vega over Super Radyo dzBB, the fire began at around 9:25 p.m. along Senator Miriam P. Defensor-Santiago Avenue.

The blaze reached the second alarm and was eventually extinguished at around 10:25 p.m. by firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection and volunteer firemen.

The fire – which was reportedly caused by an unattended lit candle – affected 12 houses in the area, according to a GMA Integrated News report by James Agustin.
